JOHN ENGLISH 76 KENILWORTH COURT I have been running my own trucks since 1987 and working with my mechanics to get the best performance out of my engines. I have always monitored my fuel consumption very closely as there is so much to gain. All of the other fuel saving devices I have looked at alter the composition of the fuel and I have come to the conclusion this is no good for the engine. As soon as the Hiclone device was fitted the drivers said they noticed an increase in engine power. One of them talked about, ‘saving half a gear’ on a certain hill and the results from the rolling road test confirmed this. The fuel consumption went from just over 9 mpg to just over 9.5 mpg, (124-470) and an 8% gain on stop start driving was confirmed at the MIRA test track, Nuneaton. I can recommend the Hiclone to anyone running Scania 4 Series trucks and I’m currently testing it on my new R Series. I also tried one in my car, the average fuel consumption, displayed on the divers info improved from 28 mpg to 31 mpg, (8.6 %). J V English |
